Inevitability is a wonder, particularly after a daunting winter in New Hampshire. The snow recedes. The little garden in the front begins to emerge from the deepest snow cover in many, many years. Daylight saving has blissfully returned, and even though there have been swirling storms since that day a few weeks ago, we have had more evening light to savor. Hope. As one moves into old age, that seasonal move from winter to spring is a deeply sensual experience.
